Dennis C. Gaughan, Esq.
is a native of Hamburg, NY, where he currently resides with his wife, Mary Rose, and his three children, Charles, Dennis Jr., and Joseph. He attended St. Francis High School, Syracuse University, and New York Law School and is a veteran of the United States Army Reserve. He was admitted to the New York State bar in 1984 and worked for the Erie County Department of Social Services before opening his own practice in 1990. The office moved to its current location in 1995. Dennis is the former Hamburg Town Prosecutor and Assistant Town Attorney, as well as the former Blasdell Village Prosecutor.
Dennis is a member of the American, New York State, and Erie County Bar Associations; he is admitted to practice before all New York State courts, the Supreme Court of the United States, the U.S. Court of Appeals (Second Circuit), the U.S. Tax Court, and the U.S. District and Bankruptcy Courts.
Dennis's practice includes bankruptcy, Social Security, criminal law, personal injury, divorce, real estate, wills and estate planning, family law (including child support, custody, and visitation), adoption, and DWI. He employs a staff of nine attorneys, paralegals, and secretaries who share over 100 years of experience.
R.J. Friedman, Esq.
is also a native of Hamburg, NY. He is an alumnus of St. Francis High School, Providence College, and University at Buffalo Law School. R.J. worked as a law clerk for the office for seven years, through college and law school, before he was admitted to the New York State bar in 2008. His practice includes matrimonial and family law, wills and estates, adoptions, real estate, and criminal law. He is a member of the American, Erie County, and New York State bar associations, and he is on the Board of Directors of the St. Francis High School alumni association. He resides with his wife, Kelly, in West Seneca, NY.
